Luna is the daughter of singer and actress Angelyna Martinez/Angelyna Martinez-Boyd and music video, commercial, and feature film director Paul Boyd. Her father is Scottish, from Glasgow. Her mother is from Texas, and is of Mexican descent. Her mother is also said to have Jewish heritage. It is not clear if this is accurate.
Luna’s maternal grandfather was Rudy Martinez (who likely was the son of Marcelino Martinez and Manuela/Manuella Hernandez). Rudy was born in Texas.
Luna’s maternal grandmother was Mary Dorothy Vasquez (the daughter of Guillermo S. Vasquez and Pauline/Paulina Garza). Guillermo was the son of Gavino Cavasos Vasquez, who was either born in Mexico, or in Texas, to Mexican parents, and of Rosa Cervantes, who was Mexican, from Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave.
