Madelyn Cline is an American actress and model. She is known for starring as Sarah Cameron on the show Outer Banks , and for her roles in the films Savannah Sunrise , Boy Erased , This Is the Night , Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery , I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025), and The Map That Leads to You ; on the shows Vice Principals , The Originals , and Stranger Things ; and in the music video for “Hot Stuff.”
She is the daughter of Pam, a real estate agent, and Mark Cline, an engineer. Madelyn was raised in Goose Creek, near Charleston.
Madelyn’s paternal grandfather was Jerry Mack Cline (the son of Roy Alexander Cline and Ruby Virginia Stirewalt). Jerry was born in North Carolina. Roy was the son of Edward Monroe Alexander Cline and Sarah Georgian Phillips. Ruby was the daughter of Charles Leon Stirewalt and Effie Mae Bostian.
Madelyn’s paternal grandmother was Nancy Lee/Jane Shepherd (the daughter of Callie/Hallie Mae Shepherd, and likely Ernest Bertrand Groff). Nancy was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina.
