Her father owned a Ford car dealership. Her mother is a nurse and end-of-life doula.

Maggie’s paternal grandfather was Robert Edward Rogers (the son of Willard Ray Rogers and Sally Aldythe Shaw). Robert was born in North Carolina, and had deep roots in the U.S. Willard was the son of Joseph Edmund Rogers and Flora Caroline/Clara Ray. Sally was the daughter of Robert Halliburton Shaw and Truletta Maud Bevers.

Maggie’s paternal grandmother was Audrey May Paul (the daughter of Earl Henry Paul and Alice Catherine Taylor). Audrey was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and had deep American roots. Earl was the son of William Elser Paul and Minnie E. Kline, and was at least mostly of Pennsylvania Dutch (German) descent. Maggie’s maternal grandmother was Eugenie “Jean” Bacon (the daughter of Charles August Bacon and Susan C. Bruy). Eugenie was born in New Hyde Park, New York. Charles was the son of Joseph Eugène Bacon, who was French-Canadian; and of Eugenie Debay, who was a French immigrant. Susan was the daughter of Italian immigrants, Alfonso “Alphonso” Bruy and Assunta LaFera.
