Manny Ramírez is a Dominican Republic-American professional baseball player. An outfielder, he played with the Cleveland Indians, the Boston Red Sox, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago White Sox, and the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Manny was born on Santo Domingo, the son of Onelcida, a seamstress, and Aristides Ramírez, a cab driver. His family moved to the U.S. when he was thirteen, settling in Washington Heights, Queens, New York City, New York. He is married to Juliana. He has three children, including two with Juliana. His son, Manny Ramirez, Jr., also plays baseball. He became a U.S. citizen in 2004.
