Marcel Dionne is a Canadian professional hockey player. A centre, he played for the Detroit Red Wings, the Los Angeles Kings, and the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL), and for the Canada national team. Regarded as one of the greatest hockey players ever, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a player in 1992.
Marcel is the son of Laurette and Gilbert Dionne. His brother is professional hockey player Gilbert Dionne. He is married to Carol Gaudet, with whom he has three children.
Marcel’s paternal grandfather was Elphege Dionne (the son of Arsene Dionne and Emilie Raymond).
Marcel’s paternal grandmother was Eveline Obeline Demers (the daughter of Adolphe Demers).
