Mark DeSaulnier is an American politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from California, since January 3, 2015. He has also been a Member of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, from January 29, 1994 to December 4, 2006.
Mark is the son of Virginia Ann and Edward Joseph DeSaulnier. He has two children with his former wife Melinda Clune.
Mark’s paternal grandfather was Edward Joseph DeSaulnier (the son of Antoine DeSaulnier and Alphonsine Handsly). Antoine was born in Québec, Canada, the son of Paul L. DeSaulnier and Marie Rose Crochiere.
