Mark Mothersbaugh is an American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, artist, and visual artist. He is a co-founder, lead vocalist, and keyboardist, of new wave band Devo. His brothers, musicians Bob Mothersbaugh and Jim Mothersbaugh, have also been members of Devo, as has Gerald Casale .
Mark is the son of Mary Margaret and Robert Mothersbaugh.
Mark’s paternal grandfather was Allen Curtis Mothersbaugh (the son of James Eugene “Jim” Mothersbaugh/Motherstough and Mary F. Reams). Allen was born in Pennsylvania. James was the son of Benjamin F. Mothersbaugh and Amanda M. “Manda” Stewart. Mary was the daughter of Curtis J. Reams and Rachel Dale.
