Mats Sundin is a Swedish professional ice hockey player, and executive. A centre, he played for Djurgårdens IF, the Quebec Nordiques, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL), and for the Sweden national team. He is the Senior Executive Advisor of Hockey Operations for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was the first overall pick in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft, where he was selected by the Nordiques. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. He is 6′5″.
Mats is the son of Gunilla and Thomas Sundin. He is married to Josephine Johansson, with whom he has three children.
