Matt Skiba is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is the co-lead vocalist and guitarist of bands Alkaline Trio and Blink-182. Blink-182’s members also include/have included Travis Barker , Tom DeLonge , and Mark Hoppus .

Matt is the son of Joan, a teacher, and Thomas Skiba, an oral surgeon. He was raised in McHenry, Illinois.

Matt’s paternal grandfather was James Joseph Skiba (the son of Peter Skiba and Victoria Piotrowski). James was born in Pennsylvania, to Polish parents.

Matt’s paternal grandmother was Marion/Marian Margaret “Mary” Moronk (the daughter of James Ignatz/Ignace Moronk and Frances “Fannie” Dejmek). Marion was born in Michigan, to Slovak parents.

Matt’s maternal grandfather likely was George Henry Parrot (the son of George Henry Parrot and Mary Ida Marty). Matt’s grandfather George was born in Ohio.
