Matthew Morrison is an American actor, dancer, singer, and songwriter. He is known for his roles as Will on Glee and Link Larkin in the musical Hairspray on Broadway. He was a member of boy band LMNT. Ikaika Kahoano was also a member of LMNT.
Matthew is the son of Mary Louise and Thomas Morrison. He is married to Renee Puente, with whom he has two children.

Matthew’s paternal grandfather was Robert Morrison, Jr. (the son of Robert Morrison and Louise Farnkopf). Matthew’s grandfather Robert was born in Hudson, New Jersey. Matthew’s great-grandfather Robert was a Scottish emigrant, from Beith, Ayrshire, the son of George Morrison and Mary White. Louise was the daughter of John Farnkopf, whose parents were German immigrants; and of Emma Meid, who was also a German immigrant.
Matthew’s paternal grandmother was Margaret Mary Skiff (the daughter of William Franklin Skiff, Jr. and Catherine Riley). Margaret was born in Englewood, New Jersey. William was the son of William Franklin Skiff, who had deep roots in the U.S.; and of Louise V. Rupp, whose grandparets were all Dutch. Matthew’s great-grandmother Catherine was the daughter of Charles Riley, whose parents were Irish; and of Bridget Harney, who was an Irish emigrant, from Ahascragh, Galway.
Matthew’s maternal grandfather was Ocie Roy Fraser (the son of John William Gordon Fraser and Lessie Lindley Hammond). Ocie was born in Texas. John was the son of Thomas J. Fraser and Martha Ann/C. Henderson. Leslie was the daughter of Robert Willis Hammond and Eldorada “Rada” Webb.
Matthew’s maternal grandmother was Ethel Lucille Darling (the daughter of Lloyd Nelson Darling and Amelie Johanna Elise “Molly”/Mollie Eul). Ethel was born in Wisconsin. Lloyd was the son of Willard Nelson Darling and Mary Elizabeth Vanorman. Amelie was the daughter of Theodore M. Ehl, who was of Austrian descent, and of Bertha C.
