Michael Savage is an American talk show/radio host, author, activist, nutritionist, and conservative political commentator.
He is the son of Rae (Wolf) and Benjamin Weiner. His father was a Russian Jewish immigrant. His mother was born in Canada, and was also Jewish. He is said to have taken the name Savage after ninteenth-century sailor Charles Savage, who traveled in Fiji. He is married to Janet Roll, with whom he has two children, including businessperson and political fundraiser Russell Weiner.
