Mike Malinin is an American musician. He was the drummer of rock band Goo Goo Dolls. Other members of the band include/have included John Rzeznik , Robby Takac , and George Tutuska.
Mike is the son of Dorothy and Theodore Malinin (born Fedor Malinin), a surgeon. His father was born in Krasnodar, Russia, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1949. His mother is from Illinois, and has German and English ancestry.
Mike’s paternal grandfather was Ivan Mikhailovich Malinin (the son of Mikhail Malinin and Olga Schestakova). Ivan was born in Staraya Russa.
Mike’s paternal grandmother was Olga Alexandrovna Senitskaya (the daughter of Alexander Senitsky and Yelena Tolstova). Olga was born in Simferopol.
