Mike Piazza is an American professional baseball player. A catcher, he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Florida Marlins, the New York Mets, the San Diego Padres, and the Oakland Athletics, for a total sixteen seasons, of Major League Baseball (MLB).
He is the son of Veronica and Vincent Piazza. He is married to model and actress Alicia Rickter, who was Playboy Playmate of the Month for October 1995; with whom he has three childen. He is Catholic.
Mike’s paternal grandfather was named Rosario “Russel”/Russell Piazza. Rosario was born, c. 1913, in Sciacca, Province of Agrigento, Sicily.
