Mike’s paternal grandfather was Charles George Vogel, Jr. (the son of Charles George Vogel and Vera L. Atz). Mike’s grandfather Charles was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is pictured here . Mike’s great-grandfather Charles was the son of German parents, William Gottfried Vogel and Catharine Wandel. Vera was also the daughter of German parents, Charles F. Atz and Anna T. Annafore/Anfaur.
Mike’s paternal grandmother was Agnes Lois Beiderman (the daughter of Charles Phillip Beiderman and Adrianna Jeanne Planje). Charles was the son of Jacob Beiderman, whose mother was English, and of Medora Taylor. Adrianna was a Dutch emigrant, from The Hague, South Holland, the daughter of Willem Karel Planje and Maria Geertruida Moesman.
