Mila was born in Chernov’tsi, the daughter of Elvira, a physics teacher who ran a pharmacy, and Mark Kunis, a mechanical engineer and cab driver. Her parents are both Jewish. Her family moved to the U.S. when she was seven years old, in 1991, settling in Los Angeles, California. She spoke Russian growing up.
Mila is married to model, actor, and producer Ashton Kutcher , with whom she has two children.
Mila’s paternal grandfather was named Boris Kunis (the son of Abram Kunis). Boris was born in Tul’Chyn, Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine.
Two of Mila’s other grandparents were named Roza/Rosa and Yitzhak.
