Morten Harket is a Norwegian musician. He is the lead vocalist of synth-pop/rock band A-ha. Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy are also members of the band.
His father, Reidar Harket, is a chief physician at a hospital. His mother, Henny Katharina Johansen, was an economics teacher. He has five children, including three with his former wife Camilla Malmquist Harket. His daughter Tomine has also been a singer.
Morten’s paternal grandfather was Gunvald Harket (the son of Ole Martinius Endresen and Aase Martinius Endresen). Gunvald was born in Vennesla, Vest-Agder. Ole was the son of Endre Steffensen and Caroline Elisabeth Olsdatter Farestad. Aase was the daughter of Ole Olsen Aabelvold and Gundvor Eilefsdatter Kleiva.
Morten’s paternal grandmother was Olga Tomine Vennesland (the daughter of Ole Mattias Vennesland and Tomine Tønnesdatter Vennesland). Olga was born in Vennesla, Vest-Agder. Ole was the son of Jakob Olsen and Kari Gundersdatter Vennesland. Morten’s great-grandmother Tomine was the daughter of Tønnes Andreas Torstensen Vennesland and Gunvor Baardsdatter Vennesland.
Morten’s maternal grandfather was Peder Johansen (the son of Johan Israël Persson and Inger Carine Torjusdatter). Peder was born in Bamble, Bamble, Telemark. Johan was born in Sillerud, Värmland County, Sweden, the son of Per Andersson and Anna Persdotter. Inger was the daughter of Torjus Evensen Braaten and Maren Carine Jensdatter.
Morten’s maternal grandmother was Inga Pauline Hansdatter Tjernes (the daughter of Hans Kristian Amundsen Agnalt and Karoline Gulbrandsdatter Førrisdal). Inga was born in Tjernes, Rakkestad, Østfold. Hans was the son of Amund Andersen and Gunhild Maria Andersdatter. Karoline was the daughter of Guldbrand Poulsen and Martha Maria Olsdatter.
