He is known for his video “counting to 100,000.” He has also founded YouTube channels Beast Reacts, MrBeast Gaming, MrBeast 2/MrBeast Shorts, MrBeast 3, and the philanthropic Beast Philanthropy. He created virtual restaurant MrBeast Burger and food brand Feastables, and co-created fundraisers Team Trees, for the Arbor Day Foundation, and Team Seas, for Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup. He is also known as Jimmy Donaldson and MrBeast6000.
MrBeast was raised in Greenville, North Carolina. His parents were in the military. He was raised an Evangelical Christian.
MrBeast’s paternal grandfather was Charles Nelson Donaldson (the son of Jess Earl Donaldson and Mary Alice Barnes). Charles was born in Ashville, Ohio. Jess was born in Pickaway County, Ohio, the son of Richard Bernice Elmer Donaldson and Aletha/Letha Dell “Leafy” Travis. Mary Alice was the daughter of John Nelson Barnes and Josephine D. “Joie” Shotts.
