Nabiyah Be is a Brazilian actress and singer. She has appeared in the film Black Panther and starred on the show Daisy Jones & the Six .
She is the daughter of Sonia Gomes and Jamaican ska, rocksteady, reggae, and soul musician, and actor Jimmy Cliff (born James Chambers). Her father was born in St. James, Colony of Jamaica. Her mother is Brazilian. Her father descended from bands of Afro-Caribbean slaves known as “Maroons,” who became independent and established free communities in the mountainous interior of the country.
