Nana Visitor is an American actress. She is known for her starring role as Kira Nerys on the show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine . She played Jason’s mother in the film Friday the 13th (2009).
Nana is the daughter of Nenette, a ballet instructor and vaudeville dancing company member, and Robert Tucker, a choreographer. Her father was born in Oregon. Her mother was born in France, to Greek parents. Her parents were both involved in the dance industry. Her maternal half-brother was Paris Theodore, an inventor of gun holsters, firearms, and shooting techniques. She was the niece of actress Cyd Charisse, who was married to her mother’s brother, Nico Charisse. Her half-nephew, Paris’s son, is rapper, composer, and songwriter Ali Dee Theodore.
Nana is married to Matthew Rimmer, chief operating officer of The Broad Stage. She has a son with her former husband Nick Miscusi; and a son with her former husband, Sudanese-British actor and director Alexander Siddig .
