Nastassja is the daughter of actors Klaus Kinski (born Klaus Günter Karl Nakszynski) and Ruth Brigitte Tocki. Her father was born in Zoppot, Free City of Danzig, now Sopot, Poland, and had German, and some Polish, ancestry. Her mother is German, by either birth or citizenship, although Tocki is often a Polish surname. Nastassja’s half-siblings are German actress Pola Kinski and French-American actor Nikolai Kinski .
She was partly raised in a commune in Munich.
Nastassja has two children, including model and actress Sonja Kinski , with her former husband, Egyptian filmmaker Ibrahim Moussa; and a daughter, fashion model Kenya Kinski-Jones , with her former partner, American music, film, and television producer and instrumentalist Quincy Jones .
Nastassja’s paternal grandfather was Bruno Carl Julius Nakszynski, an opera singer and pharmacist (the son of Ferdinand Julius Nakszynski and Anna Clara Schneider). Ferdinand was the son of Ferdinand Nakszynski. Anna was the daughter of Johann Schneider.
Nastassja’s paternal grandmother was named Susanne Eva Lutze, a nurse. Susanne’s father was a pastor.
