She is the daughter of journalists Noreen McElhone and Michael Taylor. Her father is English and her mother is Irish. Her brother, Damon Taylor, is a scriptwriter. Her stepfather was journalist and columnist Roy Greenslade. She was raised in Brighton, Sussex.
Natascha was married to plastic surgeon Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly, until his death, with whom she has three children.
