Neal Dodson is an American film producer. Among films he has been a producer on are Margin Call and All Is Lost .
He is married to actress Ashley Williams, with whom he has two children. His siblings-in-law are Ashley’s sister, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley , and her husband, country music singer and songwriter Brad Paisley .
One of Neal’s maternal ancestors was Francis Giovanni Poteet, who was born, c. 1643, in Maryland, and who is said to have been the son of an Italian man surnamed Pattiti/Pattite. It is not clear if this is accurate. Singer and songwriter Ryan Bingham is also a descendant of Poteet.
Neal’s paternal grandfather was Ray Clark Dodson (the son of Odie Washington Dodson and Ada Jane Corbin). Ray was born in Oldrag, Madison, Virginia. Odie was born in Nethers, Madison, the son of Morgan Apperson Dodson and Mary Catherine Sisk. Ada was born in Madison, the daughter of Amos Corbin and Sarah Jane Sisk.
Neal’s paternal grandmother was Doris Mae Bowman (the daughter of Henry Russell Bowman and Anna Marie Stambaugh). Doris was born in York County, Pennsylvania, and was of Pennsylvania Dutch (German) descent. Henry was born in Codorus Township, York County, the son of Charles Spangler Bowman and Alda A. S. Leese. Neal’s great-grandmother Anna was born in Dover Township, York County, the daughter of Christian Dick Stambaugh and Caroline Jane/Jean “Carrie” Fishel.
Neal’s maternal grandfather was Thomas Herman Elicker (the son of Harry Moses Elicker and Florence Jennie Herman). Thomas was born in York, Pennsylvania. Harry was born in York, the son of Horace Greeley Elicker and Annie Elizabeth Thomas. Florence was born in York, the daughter of Milton John Herman and Alista Alice Leese.
Neal’s maternal grandmother was Adele Winifred Sowle (the daughter of William Daniel Sowle/Soule and Louise S. Brillinger). Adele was born in Emigsville, York, Pennsylvania. William was born in Indiana, the son of Jerome A. Soule, whose maternal grandmother was from Middlesex, England; and of Jannette Anna Whipps.
