Nic Cester is an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and pianist of the rock band Jet. His brother, musician Chris Cester, is also a member of the band.
Nic is the son of Helen Isobel (McIvor) and Giovanni “John” Cester. He has stated that his father was of Italian descent and his mother was Scottish.
Nic is the nephew of Eugene de la Hot Croix Bun (born Eugene Cester), a founder of satirical rock band TISM.
Nic’s paternal grandparents were from Province of Treviso, Veneto, Italy. The surname “Cester” is very common there.
