Her father was a Southern Baptist pastor. Nikki is married to singer and songwriter Ryan Edgar. She has a daughter with her former husband Ryan Gingerich, lead guitarist of Christian band Scarecrow & Tinmen; a son with her former husband Aaron Dame; and a daughter with Ryan Edgar.
Nikki’s paternal grandfather was Phillip Daniel Leonti (the son of Philip/Phillip Daniel Leonti and Mary Concetta Lunetta).
