Nina Hoss is a German actress. Her roles include the films Yella , The Anarchist’s Wife , A Woman in Berlin , We Are the Night , Gold (2013), A Most Wanted Man , Phoenix (2014), My Little Sister , The Contractor , Tár , Cicadas , and Hedda (2025), the made-for-tv movie A Girl Called Rosemary , the mini-series The Defeated , and the show Jack Ryan .
She is the daughter of Heidemarie Rohweder, an actress, who was director of the Württemberg State Playhouse in Esslingen, and Willi Hoss, a trade unionist and politician, who was a member of the Bundestag for The Greens. She is married to British music producer Alex Silva.
