Nolan Ryan is an American professional baseball player. A pitcher, he played for the New York Mets, the California Angels, the Houston Astros, and the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was chief executive officer (CEO) of the Texas Rangers, and an executive advisor for the Houston Astros. He is nicknamed “the Ryan Express.”
He was the son of Martha Lee and Lynn Nolan Ryan. He is married to Ruth Holdorff, with whom he has three children.
Nolan’s paternal grandfather was Albert Jackson Ryan (the son of William Franklin Ryan and Mary Elizabeth Dalley). William was the son of John Ira Ryan and Mary Ann Otis.
Nolan’s paternal grandmother was Angle Caroline Pullin (the daughter of Thomas Nolan Pullin). Thomas was the son of Hiram Pullin and Candacy Butler.
Nolan’s maternal grandfather as named Leroy Hancock.
