Norm Cash was an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, he played his professional career with the Chicago White Sox, and, mostly, the Detroit Tigers, of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Norm was the son of Mildred and Silas Bandy Cash.
Norm’s paternal grandfather was Arthur Silas Cash (the son of John Cash and Edna Anice Linton). Edna was born in Tennessee, the daughter of John Benjamin Linton and Nancy Jane Bullock.
Norm’s paternal grandmother was Callie Blum (the daughter of John Robert Blum and Fannie Drake).
Norm’s maternal grandfather was Early Milton Woodward (the son of Alexander Newton Woodward and Josephine Shanks). Alexander was born in Alabama, the son of Cader Woodward and Elizabeth Ann Studdard. Josephine was born in Texas, the daughter of Peter Shanks and Patsy Ann Havens.
