Odette’s paternal grandfather was George Ernest Sallybanks (the son of Ernest James Sallabanks and Edith Lilian Buckingham). George was born in Fulham, London, England. Ernest was the son of George Edward Sallabanks and Mary Jane Brunker. Edith was the daughter of Sidney George Buckingham and Alice Edith.
Odette’s paternal grandmother was Patricia Margaret Paley (the daughter of Thomas Paley and Rose Dorothy Abberley). Patricia was born in Fulham.
Odette’s maternal grandfather was the son of Amy Selling, and possibly George Leitz. Amy was born in Natal, South Africa, and was of partial German descent.
Odette’s maternal grandmother was Molly Louise Beryl Brady (the daughter of Arthur Scott Brady and Marion Louise Scott). Molly was born in Durban, South Africa. Arthur was born in Durban, the son of Adrian Brady and Ethel Smith. All of his grandparents were born on Saint Helena, and were of Irish, English, and African descent.
