Oh Land is a Danish musician, singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer.
She is the daughter of Bodil Stampe Øland, an opera singer, and Bendt Johannes Fabricius, an organist. She has a son with her former husband, artist and designer Eske Kath; and a son with her partner Adi Zukanović/Moust.
Oh Land’s great-great-great-great-grandfather was Lutheran missionary and ethnographer Otto Fabricius, who published Fauna Groenlandica in 1780, the first zoological observations of Greenland.
Oh Land’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her eighth great-grandfather, Rasmus Sørensen Smed, of Fåborg, Sallinge, Svendborg.
Oh Land’s paternal grandfather was Lars Børge Fabricius (the son of Otto Fabricius and Signe Katarina Boberg). Lars Børge was born in Copenhagen. Otto was the son of Jacob Christian Fabricius and Sophie Augusta Andersen. Signe was Swedish, from Gothenburg, and was the daughter of Carl Johan Boberg and Ida Kristina Svensson.
