Omar Vizquel is a Venezuelan professional baseball player and coach. A shortstop, he played for the Seattle Mariners, the Cleveland Indians, the San Francisco Giants, the Texas Rangers, the Chicago White Sox, and the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He coached the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Detroit Tigers. He was an 11X Gold Glove winner, and is regarded as one of the greatest defensive shortstops of all time. He is nicknamed “Little O.”
Omar is the son of Eucaris and Omar Vizquel. He is married to Mónica Gemza. He has two children with his former wife Nicole Tonkin.
