Patricia Richardson is an American actress. She starred as Jill Taylor on the sitcom Home Improvement . Her roles also include the shows The Doctors , Double Trouble , Eisenhower and Lutz , FM , Strong Medicine , The West Wing , Last Man Standing , and Grey’s Anatomy ; the films You Better Watch Out , C.H.U.D. , Lost Angels , In Country , Ulee’s Gold , Viva Las Nowhere , Beautiful Wave , County Line , Cubby , and County Line: No Fear ; and the made-for-tv movies Parent Trap III , Blonde (2001), and The Jensen Project .
Patricia is the daughter of Mary and Laurence Richardson. She has three children with her former husband, theatre, television, and film actor Ray Baker.
Patricia’s paternal grandfather was Rear Admiral Laurence Baxter Richardson, Sr. (the son of George Henry Richardson and Dora Grace Baxter). Patricia’s grandfather Laurence was born in Massachusetts. George was the son of Charles Atherton Richardson and Abbie Theresa Hutchinson. Dora was the daughter of Lockhart Baxter and Elizabeth Ward.
Patricia’s paternal grandmother was Eunice Elizabeth Castle (the daughter of Robert Mason Castle and Olive Snow Turner). Eunice was born in Washington. Robert was the son of DeWitt Clinton Castle and Julia Griswold Stoddard. Olive was the daughter of William Eugene Turner and Ann Minerva Snow.
Patricia’s maternal grandfather was Marine Lt. Gen. Samuel Lutz Howard (the son of Clement Wright Howard and Addie Malvina Lutz). Samuel was born in D.C. Clement was the son of William Edwin Howard and Hannah Elizabeth McCauley. Addie was the daughter of Francis Asbury Lutz and Mary Ann Fullalove.
Patricia’s maternal grandmother was Marianna Buckner Gray (the daughter of Samuel Thomas Gray and Eleanor Augusta Clark). Marianna was born in D.C. Samuel was the son of Samuel Enos Gray and Mary Ellen Doyle. Eleanor was the daughter of John Bullock Clark, Jr. and Martha Marianna Buckner.
