Patrick Wilson is an American actor, singer, and director. He is known for starring as Josh Lambert in the Insidious films; and for playing paranormal investigator Ed Warren in The Conjuring franchise. He also directed the film Insidious: The Red Door . Patrick is the son of Mary Kay Wilson, a voice teacher and singer, and John Franklin Wilson, a former news anchor for WTVT in Tampa, Florida. His brother, Mark Wilson, took over their father’s anchor spot. Patrick grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is married to actress and author Dagmara Domińczyk , with whom he has two children, including model Kalin Wilson.
Patrick’s paternal grandfather was Paul Jefferson Wilson (the son of Joseph Franklin Wilson and Mary Jane Robinette/Robinett). Paul was born in Virginia. Joseph was the son of Alfred G. Wilson and Nancy Jane Bartley. Patrick’s great-grandmother Mary Jane was the daughter of William Monroe/Morgan Robinette and Malissa/Melissa Prudence Holbrook.
