Paul O’Neill is an American professional baseball player. A right fielder, he played for the Cincinnati Reds and the New York Yankees, for a total of seventeen seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Paul is the son of Virginia and Charles O’Neill. He is married to Nevalee, with whom he has three children.
Paul’s paternal grandfather was Arthur H. O’Neill (the son of John Hugh O’Neill and Mary Clemens). John was Irish. Mary was born in Nebraska, to Irish parents.
Paul’s paternal grandmother was Mollie Schochdopole (the daughter of Frank Schochdopole and Barbara Mrkvicka). Mollie was born in Nebraska, to Bohemian Czech parents.
Paul’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Gwinn.
