Paul Raci is an American actor. He is known for his role in the film Sound of Metal , for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has also appeared in the films Fighting Tommy Riley , No Ordinary Hero: The SuperDeafy Movie , Butcher’s Crossing , The Mother , The Secret Art of Human Flight , Sing Sing (2023), and This Is Me… Now: A Love Story , and on the shows Æon Flux , Todd McFarlane’s Spawn , Switched at Birth , and Perry Mason (2020).
He is the hearing son of deaf parents, Laurel and Mitchell Raci, and is fluent in American Sign Language. He was raised in Humboldt Park and Oak Lawn, IL. Paul is a U.S. Navy veteran, including serving two tours in Vietnam.
