Pep Guardiola is a Spanish professional footballer, and manager. A defensive midfielder, he played for Barcelona C, Barcelona B, Barcelona, which he captained; Brescia, Roma, Al-Ahli, and Dorados, as well as the Spain national team, which he also captained; and the Catalonia national team. He manages Manchester City. He previously managed Barcelona B, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. He was part of Johan Cruyff ‘s “dream team” that won Barcelona’s first European Cup in 1992, as well as winning an Olympic gold medal the same year. He is the only manager to win the continental treble twice.
Pep is the son of Dolors Sala and Valentì Guardiola. His brother, Pere Guardiola, is a businessperson and football agent. He has three children with his former wife Cristina Serra.
