Percy Hynes White is a Canadian actor. He is known for his roles on the shows The Slattery Street Crockers , Murdoch Mysteries , Odd Squad , Between , The Gifted , Pretty Hard Cases , and Wednesday , and in the films The Grand Seduction , Cast No Shadow , A Christmas Horror Story , Rupture (2016), Edge of Winter , Milton’s Secret , At First Light , Our House (2018), I Like Movies , My Old Ass , Winter Spring Summer or Fall , and Whistle .
He is the son of Sherry White, an actress, writer, producer, and director, and Joel Thomas Hynes, an actor, writer, director, and musician. His great-uncle was folk singer and songwriter Ron Hynes.
Percy’s paternal grandfather is Gary Hynes (the son of Thomas Joseph “Tom” Hynes and Mary Ellen O’Neill). Gary has deep lines in Newfoundland, and is of mostly Irish descent. Tom was the son of John Joseph Hynes and Lucy Ann Ryan. Mary was the daughter of Thomas O’Neill and Matilda Joseph Rossiter.
Percy’s paternal grandmother is named Dolores.
