Perttu Kivilaakso is a Finnish cellist. He is a member of cello metal band Apocalyptica.
His father, Veikko Juhani Kivilaakso, is also a cellist. His mother is named Seija Iris Kohonen. Perttu is married to beauty queen Johanna Ahlbäck. He was previously married to Laura Vehkanen, until their divorce.
Perttu’s patrilineal ancestry can be traced to his sixth great-grandfather, Risto Ollinpoika Liukoin/Liukonnen (1693 – 7 February 1763, Luhanka, Western Finland).
Perttu’s paternal grandfather was Hemmo Veikko Kivilaakso (the son of Vilho Johannes Kivilaakso and Beata Kristina “Kirsti” Liljeblad). Hemmo was born in Luhanka. Vilho was the son of Juho (or Johannes in Swedish) Varmanen (later Kivilaakso) and Anna Loviisa (or Lovisa in Swedish) Ahola. Kristina was the daughter of Gustaf Wilhelm Liljeblad, who was of part Swedish descent, and of Reeta Liisa (or Lisa in Swedish) Leiviskä.
Perttu’s paternal grandmother was named Kyllikki Räsänen. Kyllikki was born in Luhanka.
