Peter Olsson is a Swedish musician. He was the original bassist of rock band Europe. Other members of the group include/have included Ian Haugland , Marcel Jacob , John Levén , Kee Marcello , Mic Michaeli , John Norum , Tony Reno , and Joey Tempest .
Peter is the son of Birgit Adèle (Johansson) and Lars Göran Olsson.
Peter’s paternal grandfather was Algot Ragnar Olsson (the son of Per Theodor, later Per Teodor, Olsson and Carolina, later Karolina, Bengtsson). Algot was born in Ryssby, Kronoberg. Per was the son of Ola (later Olof) Persson and Kerstin Tuvesdotter. Karolina was the daughter of Bengt Olsson Qvist and Gunild Niklasdotter.
Peter’s paternal grandmother was Signe Viktoria Gustafsson (later Karlsson, the daughter of Carl Albert Reinhold Carlsson, later Karl Albert Reinhold Karlsson, and of Selma Elisabet Gustafsson). Signe was born in Ronneby, Blekinge. Karl was the son of Carl Peter Johansson and Emilie Sophie Svensdotter. Selma was the daughter of Gustaf Svensson and Hilda Mathilda Petersdotter.
Peter’s maternal grandfather was Edvard Harry Johansson (the son of Johan Edvard Johansson and Ida Charlotta Björkqvist). Harry was born in Stockholm. Peter’s great-grandfather Edvard was the son of Johan Eriksson and Brita Greta Mattsdotter. Ida was the daughter of Nils Fredric (later Fredrik) Björkqvist and Lena Charlotta Larsdotter.
Peter’s maternal grandmother was Adelia Katrina, later Katarina, Nylander (the daughter of Nils Johan Nilsson Nylander and Linnéa Katarina Nordell). Adelia was born in Hällesjö, Jämtland. Nils was the son of Nils and Maria Sofia Hermansdotter Rull, who was a Finland Swede, from Solf (now part of Korsholm), Western Finland. Linnéa was the daughter of Pehr (later Per) Olof Simonsson Nordell and Anna Catharina (later Katarina) Nilsdotter Westman.
