Philippe Coutinho is a Brazilian professional footballer. An attacking midfielder, he plays for Vasco da Gama. He was previously with Inter Milan, Espanyol, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Aston Villa, and Al-Duhail, and the Brazil national team. His January 2018 transfer, to Barcelona, for a €142 million record fee, made him then-the third most expensive football player ever.
Philippe is the son of Esmerelda Coutinho and architect José Carlos Correia. He is married to Ainê, with whom he has three children. He also has a Portuguese passport.
