Poppy Liu (柳波) is a Chinese-American actress. Her roles include the films The Tiger’s Apprentice , Space Cadet , Dog Man (2025), and I Love Boosters ; and the shows Mercy Mistress , Sunnyside , Better Call Saul , iCarly , Hacks , Wedding Season , Dead Ringers , American Born Chinese , The Afterparty , No Good Deed , and His & Hers .

Her family moved to Minnesota, U.S., when she was two, and then back to China, when she was fourteen; where she attended school in Shanghai. Poppy went to college in Hamilton, New York. She is a doula.

Poppy converted to Islam in 2024.
