Rachael Lampa is an American singer and songwriter. Her father, Teofilo “Phillip” Romua Lampa, is a Filipino immigrant, from Binalonan, Pangasinan. Her mother, Marianne (Miko) Harrington, is American, of Hungarian and Irish descent. She is married to singer-songwriter Brendan A. McCarthy.
Rachael’s paternal grandparents were Bartolome Ruiz Lampa (the son of Gavino Lampa and Emilia Ruiz) and Esperanza Fontanilla Romua (the daughter of Pedro Romua and Alejandra Fontanilla).
Rachael’s maternal grandfather was George T. Miko, Jr. (also known as George A. Miko III, the son of György Mikó, later George T. Miko, Sr., and of Ethel Strinz). Rachael’s great-grandfather George was born in Hungary, the son of György Mikó and Lidia Kozahuba. Ethel was also born in Hungary, the daughter of Mihály Strinz and Mária Gomkőtő.
Rachael’s maternal grandmother was Clare Cecelia Walker (the daughter of Charles Joseph Walker and Cecelia Loretta Kirk). Charles was the son of William Walker and Sarah Ann Mooney. Rachael’s great-grandmother Cecelia was the daughter of John Patrick Kirk and Anna Loretta Casey. All of Clare’s great-grandparents were Irish immigrants.
Rachael’s matrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her third great-grandmother, Catherine Cummins (October 23, 1841, Ireland – September 22, 1917, Gary, Indiana).
