His roles also include the films Mercenaries (2011), Spike Island , A Christmas Star , and The Ritual (2017); the made-for-tv movie Perfect Day (2005); and the shows Down to Earth , Coronation Street , Love Life , The Level , Ackley Bridge , Fate: The Winx Saga , The Inheritance , The Long Shadow , Generation Z , and Cooper and Fry . He is also known as Rob James-Collier and Rob Collier.
He was born Robert Collier, and changed his name because there was someone else with the same name registered with Equity. His mother is from Isle of Doagh, County Donegal, Ireland. He is married to Lauren Chandiram, who has run a fashion boutique. The couple has a son.
Robert’s maternal grandfather’s surname was McLaughlin.
