Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional footballer. A striker, he plays for La Liga club Barcelona, and plays for and captains the Poland national team. He was previously with Delta Warsaw, Legia Warsaw II, Znicz Pruszków II, Znicz Pruszków, Lech Poznań, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich.
Robert is the son of Iwona, a volleyball player, and Krzysztof Lewandowski, a judo champion and footballer. He was raised in Leszno, Warsaw West County. His sister, Milena, has also played volleyball.
Robert is married to karateka, personal trainer, and entrepreneur Anna Lewandowska (née Stachurska). Anna is a specialist on nutrition and karate, and is a representative of Poland in traditional karate. The couple has two children. Robert is Catholic.
Robert’s grandmother is named Irena.
