Robert Vaughn was an American actor.
He was the son of actors Marcella Frances (Gaudel), a stage actress, and Gerald Walter Vaughn, a radio actor. Robert was married to actress Linda Staab, until his death. The couple had two children, who were adopted.
Robert’s paternal grandfather was William W. Vaughn (the son of Steven B. Vaughn and Mary R. Wright). Steven was the son of Isaac Vaughn and Nancy Tripp. Mary was the daughter of Loomis Wright and Philinda Newman.
Robert’s paternal grandmother was named Mary Walter/Waltur.
Robert’s maternal grandfather was Frank S. Gaudel (the son of John P. Gaudel and Flora/Florentine Volkert). Frank was born in New York. John was of French and German descent, the son of Nicolas Philippe Gaudel and Marie Anne Becker. Flora was German, born in Mosbach, Baden, Germany, the daughter of Johann Andreas Volkert and Maria Margaretha Weber.
