Roberto Orcí was a Mexican-American film and television screenwriter and producer. He co-wrote the films The Island , The Legend of Zorro (2005), Mission: Impossible III , Transformers (2007), Star Trek (2009), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen , Cowboys & Aliens , People Like Us , Star Trek Into Darkness , and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 . He also co-created the shows Fringe , Sleepy Hollow , and Matador , and co-developed the shows Transformers: Prime and the rebooted Hawaii Five-0 . He wrote for all the aforementioned shows except for Transformers: Prime , and also wrote for the shows Hercules: The Legendary Journeys , Jack of All Trades , and Alias . He often worked with Alex Kurtzman . He was also known as Bob Orcí.
Roberto was born in Mexico City, Mexico, to a Mexican father and a Cuban mother. Roberto was raised in Mexico, moving to the U.S. when he was ten, and living in Texas and California. He also spent time in Canada. His brother was television writer and producer J. R. Orcí. He was married to actress and screenwriter Adele Heather Taylor, with whom he collaborated.
Roberto’s paternal grandparents were said to have been Italian and Spanish.
