Robin Tunney is an American actress. Robin is the daughter of Cathy and Patrick Tunney. Her father was either born in Ireland, or in England, to parents from Straide/Strade, County Mayo, Ireland. Her mother was born in Chicago, to Irish parents, from Clare Island. Her cousin is politician Tom Tunney, who has been Vice Mayor of Chicago, since May 20, 2019. She is also said to be the aunt of Olympic runner Alexi Pappas.
Robin has two children with her fiancé, interior designer Nicky Marmet.
Robin’s paternal grandfather was Martin John Tunney (the son of James Tunney and Margaret Murtaugh). Margaret was born in County Mayo, the daughter of John Murtaugh and Margaret Durkin. Martin later re-married to Josephine Joan Czupryn, a Polish-American woman.
Robin’s maternal grandfather was Martin Winters (the son of William Winters and Ellen O’Malley).
Robin’s maternal grandmother was named Margaret Gertrude Ansbro.
