Rodney Harvey was an American actor, model, singer, and dancer. His roles included the films Mixed Blood (1984), Delivery Boys , Initiation (1987), Five Corners , Salsa (1988), Spike of Bensonhurst , Let’s Get Lost , My Own Private Idaho , Guncrazy , and Kid 90 ; the shows Twin Peaks and The Outsiders ; the music video for “Hold Me;” and the commercial Obsession .

He was the son of Lois Marie and Edward J. Harvey.

Rodney’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Bolton Harvey (the son of Albert Harvey and Mary Ann Fort). Joseph was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and had deep roots in the U.S. Albert was the son of William Henry Harvey and Mary Jane Mounce. Rodney’s great-grandmother Mary Ann was the daughter of James VanDyke Fort and Emma Shanklin Owens.

Rodney’s paternal grandmother was Catherine J. Kenney (the daughter of William J. Kenney and Elle “Nellie” Dougherty). Catherine was born in Pennsylvania. William was English, and likely had some Irish ancestry. Elle was the daughter of Jacob Dougherty and Sarah Ann Pedrick, and had partly deep American roots.

Rodney’s maternal grandfather was Joseph P. Catalano (the son of Dominick Catalano and Maria Anna Lobosco). Joseph was born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. James Moore, who was born in England, or Wales, to English parents; and of Susan Lindsay, whose parents were Scottish. Rodney’s great-grandmother Helen was the daughter of George Thomas Curry, who was an emigrant from Gwinear, Cornwall; and of Sarah Jane Danks, who was an English emigrant, from Halesowen, Worcestershire.
