Romane Bohringer is a French actress, film director, screenwriter, and costume designer. She won the César Award for Most Promising Actress for her role in Savage Nights .

She is the daughter of Marguerite Bourry and actor, singer, writer, and director Richard Bohringer. Her father is of German and French descent. Her mother was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and is said to be the daughter of a Corsican father and a Vietnamese mother. She left the family when Romane was nine months old. Romane’s paternal grandfather was named Richard Bohringer. Richard was born in Baden-Württenberg, Germany.

Romane’s paternal grandmother was Huguette Lucienne Foucault (the daughter of Lucien René Foucault and Antoinette Sourdeau). Huguette was French, the daughter of parents who were born in Paris. Antoinette was the daughter of Simon Sourdeau and Marie Reine Niez.
