Romelu Lukaku is a Belgian professional footballer. A striker, he plays for Napoli, and the Belgium national team. He was previously with Anderlecht, Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Roma. He made his name as a formidable striker for Everton. On 10 July, 2017, Romelu moved from Everton to Manchester United for a then-record £75 million fee, plus £15 million in add-ons.
He was born in Antwerp, Belgium, to Congolese parents. His father, Roger Lukaku (Roger Menama Lukaku), who was born in Kinshasa, is also a professional footballer, who played as a forward, and represented Zaire internationally. His brother, Jordan Lukaku, and his cousin, Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, are also professional footballers. Romelu is a practising Catholic.
He speaks French, Dutch, English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and a Congolese Swahili, and can understand German.
