Ronny Jackson is an American physician, politician, and U.S. Navy officer. He has been a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, since January 3, 2021. He was previously Physician to the President, from July 25, 2013 to March 28, 2018, and Chief Medical Advisor to the President, from February 2, 2019 to December 1, 2019. He served in the U.S. Navy, from 1995 to 2019. He retired as a rear admiral (lower half) in the navy, later retroactively demoted to captain.
Ronny is the son of Norma and Waymon Jackson. He is married to Jane, with whom he has three children. Ronny is a member of the Churches of Christ.
